About The Position

A.G. Rhodes is hiring a full-time Maintenance Director for its Cobb community. The role works with the Administrator and department heads to promote the organization’s mission. The Maintenance Director oversees the Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments, as well as Emergency/Safety operations. The schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, 40 hours, with on-call weekends required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance-related role.
At least 1 year of management experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing community.
Practical knowledge of day-to-day maintenance and physical plant upkeep.
Genuine passion for working with elders.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations pertaining to Federal, State, and JCAHO surveys.
Ability to direct and maintain community safety and emergency preparedness.
Exceptional leadership skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
Excellent verbal and written customer service and communication skills.
Strong organization and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a Person-Directed Care community.
Experience working with the TELS Building Management system.

Responsibilities

Oversee the Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments.
Oversee Emergency/Safety operations.
Direct and maintain safety and emergency preparedness for the community.
Lead and foster teamwork among Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance care partners.
Work with the Administrator and department heads to promote the organization’s mission.
