About The Position

Ivy Tech - Bloomington is hiring a part-time Maintenance Custodian to help maintain the safety and cleanliness of campus facilities. The position works third shift, Sunday through Thursday, on one of two schedules: 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. or 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. The hourly rate is $15.75.

The role maintains assigned campus areas, including cleaning and upkeep, handling trash and supplies, and stripping and waxing floors. The custodian may also open and secure buildings, move furniture, and participate in community service, service-learning, and civic-engagement activities as deemed appropriate by the Chancellor. Other duties may be assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates should be able to follow verbal instructions and work independently, and must have previous facility-cleaning experience, including knowledge of floor stripping and waxing. The role requires the ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities
