About The Position

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is seeking a full-time Maintenance/Construction Technician III. Duties include the repair and construction of components necessary to keep the facility and surrounding property in proper working condition for the comfort and well-being of the residents. This position provides back-up to the department supervisor and may assist in supervision of staff, work orders, assignments, and projects.

Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting building codes, plans, instructions, etc.
Demonstrated experience in construction related activities.
Previous experience installing and/repairing lock mechanisms.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and renovations, including cabinet making, carpentry work, masonry work, drywall installation, building decks and partitions, flooring (such as VCT and ceramic tile), roofing, hanging doors and windows, and building picture frames, etc.
Administration of all locks, doors and closures, including maintaining locks in working condition, preventative maintenance, identifying repairs, ordering supplies, cutting keys, tracking keys, etc., for all windows and doors.
