About The Position
Buffalo Lodging Associates is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for the Hampton Inn by Hilton Ellenton/Bradenton. The hotel has 115 guest rooms and is one of 50 hotel properties owned and managed by Buffalo Lodging Associates. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for upkeep of the hotel property and assists the Chief Engineer. The role includes repair and maintenance work, pool and spa servicing, cleaning, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep. Various shifts are available, and flexibility to cover different shifts is needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills.
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist.
- Valid driver's license.
- Flexibility to cover various shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic repairs, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
- Maintain fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and record maintenance in log books as required by Buffalo Lodging and the hotel brand.
- Maintain and service pool and spa areas, including testing and recording results as required by state and local regulations.
- Clean interior building areas, including sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas, storage areas, and the parking lot.
- Assist the Chief Engineer with upkeep of the hotel property.
