About The Position

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is seeking a qualified Maintenance Apprentice with industry or related experience to join their team. The role involves general maintenance and repairs of facility equipment, property structures, and grounds. The position requires adherence to EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety regulations. Requirements

Must pass an HBM prescreen.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
Some hands-on maintenance experience.
Proficiency in light plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
All tasks must be performed in accordance with EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety regulations.
General maintenance experience.
Basic mathematical skills.
Previous experience in creating and maintaining work orders and purchase orders.
Strong attention to detail.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent organizational skills.
Eagerness to learn and grow.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Customer service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Conducting preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, including basic plumbing and electrical work, mechanical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), painting, drywall, and grounds maintenance.
Accessing small spaces measuring 18 inches by 18 inches.
Ensuring mechanical equipment and systems are functioning correctly and performing repairs as needed.
Providing excellent customer service while interacting with property managers, vendors, and customers.
Engaging in continuous movement, including standing, walking, bending, and stretching throughout shifts.
Lifting, pushing, and pulling weights between 50 to 75 pounds.
Creating and maintaining work orders and purchase orders.
Completing additional maintenance-related tasks assigned by the HBM supervisor or property management.
