About The Position
Accent Countertops is seeking a full-time Maintenance Apprentice to join their Salt Lake City branch. This role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined looking to develop industrial maintenance skills in a fast-paced fabrication setting. The Maintenance Apprentice will support the upkeep and repair of production equipment, working alongside experienced technicians to learn troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment setup, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined; exposure to CNC equipment is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Ability to manage parts and maintenance inventory
- Comfortable with basic computer use for research and tracking
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of experience in a mechanical or hands-on role
Responsibilities
- Assist in inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance (cleaning, greasing, inspections)
- Help set up and calibrate machinery for optimal performance
- Support sourcing and organizing parts for repairs
- Work alongside senior technicians and external contractors as needed
- Participate in cross-training across departments
- Help maintain production flow by supporting other roles when necessary
- Attend team meetings and contribute to a collaborative environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
