About The Position

The Maintenance and Reliability Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Head of Proactive Services and Analytics. The role performs preventive maintenance and service on BLM equipment at customer sites, follows procedures specified in customer maintenance contracts, and completes related duties. The specialist supports programmers and operators, helps resolve customer issues and questions promptly, and maintains positive customer relationships. The position also supports maintenance performance monitoring, root cause analysis, condition-based monitoring, and reliability-centered maintenance practices. It requires up to 100% domestic or international travel and overtime as required by customer needs.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least five years of experience in machine tool operation, maintenance, and repair.
At least two years of CAD/CAM software experience.
At least five years of experience in a similar technical position.
At least one year of experience in a customer service role.
Driving record with no more than two minor moving violations in three years and no major violations in the last seven years.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to use electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
Ability to use electric/electronic testing and measurement equipment.
Ability to analyze and resolve mechanical or electrical technical issues using measured data.
Ability to read and comprehend technical information in equipment manuals or electronic media.
Ability to document technical data and steps taken to resolve equipment and product issues accurately.
Ability to program parts for CNC machines and understand CAD drawings.
Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD/CAM software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
Ability to communicate technical issues beyond preventive maintenance to the BLM Technical Department.
Proven customer service skills focused on customer relationships.
Strong organization, time management, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and to identify appropriate sources of technical assistance.
Ability to work effectively as a team member with colleagues at all levels and customers of different types and levels.
Must possess a valid passport or be capable of obtaining one.
Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including lifting or moving 50 to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in a technical discipline or comparable military experience.

Responsibilities

Support sales staff in servicing BLM equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and equipment service at customer sites.
Support maintenance performance monitoring, root cause analysis, condition-based monitoring, and reliability-centered maintenance.
Recommend programming approaches and support programmers with programming parts.
Recommend practices, methods, and procedures to improve efficiency and quality and reduce equipment downtime.
Provide onsite support and training for operators and maintenance personnel when needed.
Accurately document services performed and future service needs.
Maintain excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
Prepare service reports and work order forms accurately and promptly.
Track expenses accurately and complete expense reports promptly.
Maintain a safe work environment and comply with OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines.
Work overtime as required by customer needs.
Travel as required, up to 100%.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
