About The Position

CTG is hiring a Mainframe Systems Analyst / Interface & Documentation Specialist for a client. This remote position is for a 12-month duration. The role focuses on analyzing complex mainframe interfaces, data flows, batch processes, and dependencies across applications, then independently validating and documenting how data moves between systems. The specialist will produce and maintain source-to-target mappings, interface inventories, diagrams, interface specifications, process documentation, and other reusable technical artifacts. The work includes tracing files, batch jobs, reports, and processing flows; investigating discrepancies and documentation gaps; and confirming findings with business owners, subject matter experts, and technical teams. The specialist will document unresolved questions, assumptions, and dependencies, incorporate review feedback, maintain version-controlled deliverables, and conduct walkthroughs to confirm acceptance criteria are met. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant technical experience. Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary is $69.00 to $74.00 per hour. A competitive benefits package is also offered.

  • Experience with Systematics RM, Systematics IM, Systematics IT, Systematics GN, and Systematics AIS.
  • Strong understanding of mainframe interfaces, data integration, batch processing, and application dependencies.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing complex mainframe applications, interfaces, and end-to-end data flows.
  • Hands-on experience tracing batch jobs, files, reports, and dependencies across multiple systems.
  • Experience validating file-level source-to-target mappings, including data elements, offsets, lengths, and transformations.
  • Proven ability to create accurate technical diagrams, interface inventories, process documentation, and reusable technical artifacts.
  • Experience investigating legacy systems, identifying inconsistencies, and validating undocumented or outdated processes.
  • Ability to work independently, manage detailed documentation deliverables, incorporate review feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
