About The Position

Modern Litho is a local, family-owned printing company with more than 85 years of experience producing commercial print work. The Mailroom Operator role involves reading job tickets and carrying out the specified mailroom processes, such as attached mail, sorting, and tying. The operator supports production by maintaining quality, helping the line run smoothly, organizing completed work, and troubleshooting basic mechanical issues.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and standing for the entirety of the shift.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix basic mechanical issues.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow company and departmental policies, procedures, and production standards.
• Read and evaluate job tickets to determine the required process, such as attached mail, sorting, or tying.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure finished products meet standards.
• Support team members on the line and help keep production on track.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and keep equipment moving.
• Organize and stage completed work using a clear, efficient, labeled system.
• Work accurately and pay close attention to detail.
