About The Position

RRD is seeking a Mail Services Specialist for its San Antonio, Texas location. The role operates equipment that prepares printed publications for mailing by addressing, weighing, and bundling them according to ZIP code. The specialist reviews manufacturing instructions, sets up and adjusts machine components, records production and downtime, and processes outgoing small-package shipments.

Requirements

Familiarity with routine equipment operating procedures and the ability to set up and operate equipment by following a few step-by-step instructions.
Skill in performing minor clerical tasks related to equipment operation, such as maintaining operating and maintenance records.
Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.

Responsibilities

Operate machines that automatically address, weigh, and bundle printed publications for mailing according to ZIP code.
Review manufacturing instructions to determine the type and size of publication scheduled for mailing.
Adjust guides, rollers, the loose card inserter, weighing machine, and tying arm using a ruler and hand tools.
Record production by customer name and ZIP code, as well as machine downtime caused by malfunctions or lack of work.
Process and ship outgoing small-package parcels, including UPS, Federal Express, and DHL shipments.
Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
Identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.
