About The Position

As a Machinist, you will write, edit, and operate manual and CNC equipment and perform routine equipment maintenance. Additional duties may apply as required. The role supports the repair and manufacture of critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry, contributing to aviation safety and reliability. This position works 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. It includes an additional shift differential of $2.50 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience with manual machines.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and familiarity with Microsoft packages.
Understanding of G and M codes.
Machining certificates as required by the equipment.
Successfully pass initial and annual hearing and vision exams.
Ability to occasionally push or pull up to 500 pounds using material-handling equipment.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to type, handle, or feel.
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.

Nice To Haves

Trade school education or certificate.
Experience with Fanuc controllers.
Experience with O-M VTLs and Sip/K&T/Shibaura/Ikegai Mills.
Manual machining experience.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently set up and operate common machine tools and equipment.
Machine parts using horizontal boring mills, vertical lathes, engine lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
Perform simple to complex machine setups with little to no assistance.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge.
Apply working knowledge of machine tools and parts, including setup, operation, and maintenance.
Monitor machine feed and speed during machining.
Write and edit programs for manual and CNC equipment.
Perform routine equipment maintenance.
