About The Position

Regal Rexnord is hiring a Machinist for its growing Aerospace and Defense business. This is a fully onsite role in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled building. The position operates computerized numerical control machines to produce finished machined products within tight tolerances, with responsibilities including machine setup, program adjustments, inspection, and documentation. Compensation is $23.00–$30.00 per hour based on experience and skills, and the posting offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus. A competitive benefits package is also offered.

Requirements

• Previous experience and demonstrated proficiency operating CNC lathe, CNC mill machines, or resistance spot welder, with any combination of two machine types.
• Intermediate knowledge and experience setting up machines.
• High school education or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience and knowledge of machining principles and methods for CNC machine tools.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints in English.
• Reliability and good attendance, with minimal call-offs during the year.
• External candidates must pass a Machinist test measuring mechanical aptitude.
• Candidates may need to qualify as a U.S. Person under federal export control laws or otherwise be eligible for a license permitting them to hold the position.

Responsibilities

• Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets, setup cards, machine status boards, and verbal and written instructions.
• Machine and install or re-cut chuck jaws as required.
• Insert and secure tooling in machine turrets and perform machine setups.
• Download and upload machine programs and make minor programming adjustments as needed.
• Operate different types of CNC equipment to perform machining operations and manufacture products within tight tolerances.
• Inspect own work for correct dimensions, maintain quality and quantity standards, and complete required documentation.
• Inspect the work of other machinists as required.
• Operate multiple machines and work in rotating departments as required.
• Enter data into the ERP system.
• Load and unload component parts weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
