About The Position

The Machinist Training and Development Coordinator develops and manages a structured program to guide new and developing machinists from onboarding through demonstrated competency, independent machine operation, setup capability, and cross-training. The Coordinator works with Operations, experienced machinists, supervisors, and Human Resources to ensure employees receive effective instruction, hands-on practice, coaching, resources, and objective evaluations before advancing. The role builds and maintains the training framework, including learning objectives, competency levels, job aids, checklists, and certification requirements. It creates individual onboarding plans and coordinates access to qualified trainers, equipment, tools, documentation, and practice. The Coordinator arranges and, when qualified, provides instruction in machine operation, tooling, drawings, measurement, inspection, troubleshooting, and setup.
