About The Position

The Machinist II reads and interprets blueprints and drawings to machine parts, builds and repairs parts, and sets up and operates conventional and CNC machines. The role also reworks molds and tools damaged in production, completes related paperwork, and performs tasks required of a Safety Sensitive position. Other duties include maintaining a clean and safe work area and helping co-workers as needed. The incumbent may be required to perform other duties requested by their supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of machine shop experience.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to perform metric conversions and weights-and-measures conversions.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements, including prolonged standing; frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds; and frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.

Nice To Haves

• Welding ability.
• CNC experience.
