Operate cylindrical grinding CNC machines for production purposes of miscellaneous rotary products as per customer specifications. This role requires strong mechanical and shop math skills, the ability to use precision measuring instruments, and familiarity with machine tools and equipment. The machinist will be responsible for selecting, mounting, and dressing grinding wheels, adjusting machine feeds and speeds, changing tooling, and troubleshooting machine malfunctions. Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the work area, wearing proper PPE, and performing routine maintenance are also key aspects of the job. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and previous CNC machining experience in cylindrical grinding or a related field, or a trade school diploma. The ability to work overtime is also required.
