About The Position

The Machinist position performs all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of components. This role operates Manual or CNC equipment to produce components as outlined in the methods and process sheets, changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools, and loads and deletes programs in the computer. The machinist will learn the machinability of metals, demonstrate good mechanical aptitude, and check parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained. Additionally, the role involves performing routine maintenance checks, reporting improper machine function, maintaining an orderly work area, and following all applicable safety rules and precautions. This is a 2nd shift position located in Stuart, FL, with a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of the machinability of metals, with a good mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge and ability to use machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak before employees in the organization
  • Good math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
