About The Position

AMETEK LMS is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Machinist I to join its production team on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on carrying out standard work, operating and inspecting workstation output, tools, and equipment, and testing and calibrating simple assemblies to specifications. The machinist is expected to maintain quality, improve performance, identify problems, seek help with resolution, and train other associates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Windows.
• Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement equipment, such as a ruler, scale, calipers, and tape measure.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, or climb for extended periods as some duties require.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of experience with manual lathes, drills, and grinders.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard work, seeking support from others for complex tasks.
• Operate and inspect value stream workstation output.
• Operate and inspect the tools and equipment needed to execute standard work.
• Test and calibrate simple assemblies according to specifications.
• Complete standard work with acceptable quality and limited quality discrepancies, demonstrating a trend of improvement.
• Execute simple tasks efficiently and seek support from others for complex tasks.
• Identify problems in executing standard work and request assistance with resolution.
• Train other associates.
