Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a manual or CNC machine operator in a manufacturing or machine shop environment, or successful completion of a recognized machinist training program.
  • Experience following work instructions and using basic precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and wear required personal protective equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Successful completion of an assessment for the job class, background check, and drug screen.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this role.

  • Hands-on experience with mills, drills, grinders, lathes, or similar machining equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production equipment and tooling in a gas turbine manufacturing environment.
  • Perform standard machining operations on metal components using CNC equipment.
  • Follow blueprints, work instructions, and established procedures to produce parts that meet required specifications.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect work and verify part quality.
  • Support related shop operations such as deburring, blending, part handling, and material movement as needed.
  • Operate material-moving equipment such as forklifts and jib or gantry cranes, as trained.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following all compliance and safety requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates and participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Take ownership of safety, quality, and productivity in your area of responsibility.
