About The Position

The Machining Supervisor – Weekend Night Shift is responsible for supervising all machining operations during the assigned shift. This role has full accountability for safety, quality, delivery performance, scrap, and cost control within the machining department. The supervisor provides direct leadership to all machinists on the Weekend Night Shift and ensures strict adherence to all safety, quality, and compliance systems. This position also supports troubleshooting activities, verifies proper use of gauges and measurement equipment, and ensures all quality processes and inspection requirements are consistently followed.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations.
  • 7+ years relevant experience in manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years in a direct supervisory position
  • Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including working in and around parts, chemicals and tooling.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the duration of work scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily machining operations, including processes and employees.
  • Develop resource plans and ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards as a priority over production output.
  • Monitor functional KPI performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Hold employees accountable to established production goals, quality standards, and performance expectations.
  • Manage machining changeovers to maximize productivity and minimize downtime and unnecessary changeovers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all compliance controls and initiate swift containment and corrective countermeasures for any non-compliance.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Exhibit self-initiative, maintain a positive leadership presence, and actively invest in employee development as part of continual improvement.
