About The Position

The Field Machining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production or service center activities, ensuring that processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role supervises professional-level staff and ensures adherence to quality standards and production or service schedules. This job profile is intended for People Managers of 4+ professional-level roles.

Requirements

• Typically requires a technical degree and several years of relevant work experience to be able to manage and coordinate one or more professional-level teams.
• Experience in manufacturing or production supervision.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
• Effective communication and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production or service staff and assign daily tasks.
• Monitor workflow and ensure production targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Train new employees and support skill development.
• Identify process improvements and implement changes.
• Communicate production status to management.
