About The Position

The Machine Operator (Rolltender) supports the printing process by assisting the press team in creating paper signatures that become book pages. The role involves setting up and managing paper feed into a printing press and hanging aluminum plates. Employees work as part of a team and cross-train with colleagues. Training is provided, including paid Bridge to Skills Training with incentives to advance a career. No experience is required; previous press experience is preferred.

The position is based at 1005 Commercial Drive, Owensville, Missouri. The schedule is a 12-hour crew working either 3 a.m.–3 p.m. or 3 p.m.–3 a.m., with 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. The posting states employees work only half the days in a year. Pay is $21 per hour, with a $1.25-per-hour night-shift premium, based on experience.

Requirements

• Teamwork.
