About The Position

The Machine Operator works at TreeHouse Foods’ Hanover, Pennsylvania location and reports to the Packing Room Supervisor, taking day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. The role operates packing room machinery to meet production standards and supports production changeovers by preparing the correct packaging materials and supplies for upcoming orders. The operator monitors machine performance and product quality, including conducting weight checks on packing lines. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions and process documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing room machines at specified efficiency and speed, including Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrappers, diverter gates, case labelers, and sonic sensors.
• Review production sheets to anticipate changeovers and determine products assigned to machines.
• Prepare the correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, and other supplies for upcoming orders.
• Observe operations, detect malfunctions, and inspect products for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code dates to keep bag waste within specified limits.
• Complete weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
