About The Position

The Machine Operator operates blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmers, and conveyor systems to support production of quality bottles. The role involves troubleshooting process and equipment problems, making adjustments to meet product specifications, performing minor repairs and maintenance, and following company Good Manufacturing Practices. The operator also supports preventive maintenance and mechanical changes, documents production and repair activity, and trains blow-mold employees. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of experience in the field or a related area.
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred.
Apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations.
Operate blow-mold machines, including wheel, reciprocating, or shuttle machines, and perform audits, weights, and quality checks.
Follow quality-control requirements and blow-mold process procedures.
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow-mold and support equipment.
Adjust equipment or processes to meet product specifications.
Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
Assist with preventive maintenance and mold, neck, blow-pin, and other mechanical changes.
Grind excess bottle material.
Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
Train blow-mold employees.
Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and other production information.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
