About The Position

The Machine Operator operates blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmers, and conveyor systems to support production of quality bottles. The role includes monitoring production and product quality, troubleshooting process issues, making equipment adjustments, and performing minor repairs and maintenance to keep the production line operating. The operator follows company Good Manufacturing Practices and applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1–3 years of experience in the field or a related area.
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred.
Apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

Comply with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations.
Operate blow-mold machines, including wheel, reciprocating, and shuttle machines, to produce quality bottles; perform audits, weights, and quality checks.
Follow quality-control requirements and blow-mold process procedures.
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow-mold and support equipment.
Adjust equipment to meet product specifications.
Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
Assist with preventive maintenance and mechanical changes involving molds, necks, blow pins, and other components.
Grind excess bottles and material.
Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
Train blow-mold employees.
Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
