About The Position

The Machine Operator works at TreeHouse Foods’ Hanover, Pennsylvania location and reports to the Packing Room Supervisor, taking day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. The role operates packing-room machinery to meet production standards and specified operating speeds. Equipment includes Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, a stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers, and sonic sensors.

The operator reviews production sheets to anticipate changeovers and assigned products, and prepares the correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, and other materials for upcoming orders. The role also monitors machine operation, detects malfunctions, inspects product for quality issues, and performs weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications are met. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions and process documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing-room machines at specified efficiency and speed to meet production standards.
• Review production sheets to anticipate changeovers and determine products assigned to machines.
• Prepare the correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, and other materials for upcoming orders.
• Observe operations and detect malfunctions.
• Inspect products for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code dates, keeping bag waste within specified limits.
• Complete weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
