About The Position

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) is hiring a Machine Operator. Experience is not required, though it is a bonus. The role involves checking print and seam quality, removing defective material and splicing roll web according to specifications, handling and palletizing rolls without causing damage, and recording information on paperwork and in the Globetek company operations system. Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to calculate label counts and conversions, including using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing; using hands to finger, feel, and touch; reaching; talking and hearing; and frequent walking.
• Ability to occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Close, distance, and color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Continuously check print and seam quality.
• Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together according to specifications.
• Use a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during the splicing procedure; use these tools at other times as necessary.
• Handle and palletize rolls in a way that prevents damage.
• Understand basic printing- and seam-related defects.
• Record and enter data on designated paperwork and in the company operations system (Globetek).
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
