About The Position
Milliken & Company is a global manufacturing leader focused on materials science. The Tie-In Associate supports warp preparation, tie-in procedures, and material handling to ensure continuous production flow. This role involves identifying and verifying control cards, using a Warp Out truck, performing warp tying, leasing out warps, updating warp board sheets, general housekeeping, filling LIME storage containers, battery changing and charging for the Warp Truck, tightening beam bolts, identifying S & Z twist problems, managing job priorities, maintaining the Warp Storage Area, and executing Warp Out Procedures including BARCO declarations. The role also includes troubleshooting knotter issues such as single-end breaks, double-end issues, slip knots, and clogs.
Requirements
- Ability to read production instructions, quality specifications, and safety documents.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing or textile experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Supporting warp preparation, tie-in procedures, and material handling functions to ensure continuous production flow.
- Identifying and verifying correct Control Cards for all warps.
- Using the Warp Out truck.
- Performing warp tying in accordance with established procedures.
- Leasing out warp and ensuring accurate yarn separation.
- Updating and maintaining the Warp Board Sheet accurately.
- Performing general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Filling LIME storage containers as required.
- Performing battery changing and charging for the Warp Truck.
- Tightening beam bolts safely and correctly.
- Identifying S & Z twist problems in belting styles.
- Managing job priorities based on production scheduling.
- Maintaining and organizing the Warp Storage Area.
- Executing Warp Out Procedures including BARCO declarations.
- Troubleshooting knotter issues including single-end breaks, double-end issues, slip knots, and clog-ups.
