About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Back-Up Machine Operator to set up and operate packaging lines safely and efficiently. The operator checks machine performance and packaging quality, troubleshoots minor issues, maintains production and quality records, and keeps the work area clean and organized. The position works Friday through Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, providing a three-day workweek. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging lines safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine checks at the start of the shift and throughout the day to ensure machines are running properly.
• Monitor packaging quality, including weights, seals, codes, and pricing.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and support maintenance as needed.
• Keep accurate records of production, film usage, and quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate with the next shift and support teamwork across lines.
• Train new operators as needed.
