About The Position
Utz Quality Foods is recruiting a Dumper/Back Up Machine Operator to join its manufacturing team in Hanover, Pennsylvania. The role supplies production lines with packaging materials, transports finished product to the warehouse, operates barrel filling lines, a rod machine, and labelers, and assists warehouse personnel as needed. The position is scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 5:55 PM to 5:55 AM.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Knowledge and skills operating barrel filling lines, a rod machine, and labelers.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 80 pounds.
- Forklift license required.
- Wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Supply production lines with needed materials.
- Place skids of cardboard or barrels at tables and packing stations.
- Use a forklift or hand jack to transport skids of finished product to the warehouse.
- Operate barrel filling lines, a rod machine, and labelers.
- Help or backfill warehouse personnel with loading trucks and unloading incoming materials.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Perform quality and food safety tasks for the position.
