About The Position

Under general supervision, the Machine Operator performs production activities requiring a working knowledge of various chemical processes, operations, and machines. The role sets up and operates multiple machines and equipment for production operations and may assist lower-level workers with these processes.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of various chemical processes, operations, and machines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production and process specifications.
• Oversee and monitor production quality, and verify and inspect products.
• Assist in training new employees and answer employees’ questions regarding work standards.
• Document department functions daily by maintaining accurate, up-to-date batch records and data sheets for batches in process.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor maintenance.
