About The Position

Machine Operator 3 performs operational work related to the receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials. The role involves loading, unloading, moving, or storing items according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions, and operating heavy equipment.

The operator uses an assigned machine and is expected to operate consistently at or above target production levels. The role also includes inspecting and maintaining the assigned machine, identifying operational issues, supporting supervisors in ensuring procedures are followed, and contributing to the company safety program. Responsibilities

• Operate an assigned machine, such as a forklift, knuckle-boom, runaround, or equipment supporting the wood boiler, Prentice, endplate station, or trimmer, consistently at or above target production levels.
• Complete daily inspection and maintenance reports for the assigned machine and identify operational issues.
• Perform daily maintenance on the assigned machine.
• Take initiative to aid supervisors in ensuring procedures are followed correctly.
• Participate and contribute to the company safety program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
