About The Position

The Part-Time Finishing Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for manufacturing printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions. The operator completes press make-readies, operates the press according to customer specifications, performs quality checks, maintains equipment, and records material usage and time in the GlobeTek system. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Requirements

Ability to stand, use hands to feel and touch, reach with arms and hands, and talk and hear.
Ability to walk frequently.
Ability to occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Follow all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines, and report safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
Complete make-ready according to Job Ticket and Product Specification documents, using the correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers.
Complete required product-specification, visual, functional, and press-side quality checks.
Operate the press according to customer specifications while maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and optimizing press efficiency.
Maintain consistent production quality, including checks for copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion, and ensure conformance to other quality checks.
Complete procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements required by the BRC standard.
Complete press make-readies efficiently.
Perform required equipment maintenance duties.
Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans, and lubricate the press as needed.
Accurately and promptly enter required material-usage and time information into the GlobeTek system.
