About The Position

Greif is hiring a Machine Operator to operate routine production machinery according to provided prints and specifications. The role produces parts within established quantities, specifications, and tolerances; measures finished parts to verify quality and cosmetic requirements; and records production. The operator also checks equipment setup and alignment, makes basic adjustments and performs routine maintenance, and keeps the work area clean, safe, and orderly while following safety regulations. A high school diploma or equivalent and up to two years of relevant experience are typically expected.

Requirements

• Typically, a high school diploma or equivalent and up to two years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machinery.
• Fundamental understanding of production equipment or the ability to learn it quickly.

Responsibilities

• Operate routine production machinery according to provided prints and specifications.
• Carry out routine production activities to produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measure finished parts with precision tools to confirm they meet function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintain logs and records of units produced.
• Report errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment.
• Perform basic and routine equipment adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
