Machine Operator I
About The Position
The Production Machine Operator I (Automatic Production Line) runs and monitors automatic machines on a production line to maintain safe, efficient, and consistent output. The role supports production flow through quality checks, production recordkeeping, responding to minor stops or jams, and communicating issues to supervisors, technicians, or maintenance teams. The operator follows standard work, safety requirements, and 5S standards to help ensure product quality and line performance. Candidates must have working knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Proven skills starting up and running automated assembly machines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Technical education in mechanical or electrical fields.
- Experience operating automatic machines in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of safety standards, quality inspection, and 5S.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automatic production line equipment according to work instructions.
- Load and unload parts as required while maintaining production flow.
- Perform in-process quality inspections, including visual and basic measurement checks.
- Record production counts, scrap, downtime, and abnormalities.
- Respond to minor machine stops, such as clearing jams or resetting equipment, within the scope of training.
- Escalate safety, quality, or machine issues to support teams when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment.
