About The Position

Laars Heating Systems Company is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and perform simple maintenance on a variety of specialized production equipment with little supervision. The role may involve sorting, loading, unloading, checking, and inspecting materials or products; keeping necessary records; and reporting rejects and failure patterns. The operator follows sketches, diagrams, drawings, and written and verbal instructions while maintaining quality and production rates. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Fridays as overtime. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Previous experience operating high-volume manufacturing equipment and using common hand tools.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and perform simple maintenance on specialized production equipment.
• Sort, load, unload, check, and inspect as needed.
• Keep necessary records and report rejects and failure patterns.
• Follow sketches, diagrams, drawings, and written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain quality while meeting production rates.
• Respond appropriately to system, process, or material problems.
• Perform required inventory functions, including inquiries, updates, transactions, and certificates.
• Follow SOPs using the correct materials and tools.
• Perform tasks for product changeover and startup.
• Understand job hazards and demonstrate safe behaviors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
