About The Position

The Machine Helper supports the manufacturing process by assisting machine operators and helping ensure production equipment operates smoothly. The role includes preparing machines for operation, monitoring performance, and carrying out routine maintenance to prevent downtime. The Machine Helper follows safety protocols, reports equipment malfunctions, collaborates with the production team, and supports workflow, quality control, and production targets.

Requirements

• Able to read a tape measure and fractions with +/- accuracy.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine operation procedures.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with industrial machinery and basic maintenance techniques.
• Basic understanding of quality control principles.
• Certification in workplace safety or machine operation is a plus.
• Communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators in setting up and operating manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor machines during operation to detect irregularities or malfunctions.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform basic maintenance on machines.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products as required by production.
• Follow safety guidelines and promptly report safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of machine performance and maintenance activities.
• Support the production team in meeting daily output goals and quality standards.
