About The Position

This position is responsible for thoroughly cleaning industrial machines and equipment and maintaining general cleanliness throughout the building. The Machine Cleaner works closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure machines are cleaned according to company procedures and production schedules without compromising safety or operations. The role helps ensure the facility meets internal cleanliness standards and external health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for long periods.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, or humid environments depending on facility conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, as needed.
• Follow safety rules and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Clean and wipe down machines, equipment, and tools according to cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Remove dust, oil, grease, ink, and product residues from machine surfaces.
• Assist with deep cleaning during plant shutdowns or preventive maintenance activities.
• Clean walls, windows, doors, and overhead structures as assigned.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
• Assist with special projects such as event cleanup, reorganizing spaces, or emergency spill response.
• Identify and report potential issues, including leaks, damaged parts, or unsafe conditions, to appropriate personnel.
