Machine Cleaner Ledbetter Location (Night Shift)

About The Position

The Facility Machine Cleaner is responsible for day-to-day cleaning of production machines and surrounding areas as directed by the HSE/Facility Manager or Facilities Lead. The role includes removing and replacing coolant and discharge, maintaining waste cans, cleaning machine exteriors, changing exterior filters when required, completing cleaning logs, operating a forklift and crane as needed, and mopping and sweeping. The employee may also perform other related duties to meet the company's ongoing needs. Employees are expected to follow QHSE protocols, contribute to the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental culture, take pride in their work, and continually seek ways to improve processes and deliverables. The position requires communication, problem-solving, safety awareness, and the ability to follow written instructions. It also involves frequent standing, walking, handling and reaching, and lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Goal-oriented, organized team player.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude and problem-solving ability.
Current forklift and crane operator certifications, or ability to pass the training within the first 90 days.
Ability to follow written instructions and work safely.
Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Report to the HSE/Facility Manager (Days) or Facilities Lead (Nights).
Remove and replace coolant and discharge on production machines as identified by the work task board in each area.
Maintain facility waste cans located throughout production areas.
Wipe down the exterior of each machine that is cleaned.
Change exterior filters when required.
Complete machine cleaning logs.
Operate a forklift and crane as needed to accomplish tasks.
Mop and sweep as directed.
Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Adhere to QHSE protocols and actively contribute to the company's QHSE culture.
Seek ways to improve processes and deliverables.
