This role involves learning and actively participating in all aspects of the company’s safety and quality plans and culture. The position completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities. The engineer will learn to develop budgetary M/E estimates, assist in reviewing mechanical and electrical options, and complete systems analysis. They will also learn to develop scopes of work, assist with bid analysis and subcontractor selection, and help develop sequencing requirements and solutions for schedule adherence. The role includes gaining knowledge of design documents to identify quality problems, assisting in developing constructability review reports, performing job inspections, and learning the shop drawing/submittal and commissioning processes. Additionally, the position is responsible for leading, supporting, and promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding and implementing JE Dunn’s policy of non-discrimination. As the role progresses, responsibilities include completing more complex construction activities, developing estimates, reviewing options, providing value engineering suggestions, coordinating scopes of work, providing scheduling input, developing quality control programs, and creating innovative M/E tools.
