About The Position

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services in a Medical Surgical - Oncology setting. The role uses technical and manual skills within the scope of practice to address patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs, and communication needs of patients and families. The LVN/LPN works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The posting also notes knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the emergency-room triage process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.

• Work experience in health care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using technical and manual skills within the scope of practice.
