About The Position
The Lube Technician performs oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance while providing excellent customer service. Take 5 trains employees to change oil, replace wiper blades and air filters, fill tires with air, and perform other light maintenance services. The role includes assisting customers with service selections and payments, maintaining inventory, and keeping the shop and other areas clean. The position is full-time and pays $11.50–$16.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Must be able to work in hot or cold weather conditions.
- Must remain alert and aware of surroundings.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate with the public.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must gain a strong knowledge of the company’s oils and services.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and grease chassis fittings.
- Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
- Inspect and top off vehicle fluids.
- Assist customers in selecting oil types and other services.
- Deliver excellent verbal and written customer service.
- Process payment for services performed.
- Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.
- Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathroom.
