About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a customer-focused Lube Technician. The company provides training in oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. The role is similar to work in restaurant or retail environments and supports Take 5’s in-car oil change experience. Employees are expected to learn the company’s oils and services, provide excellent customer service, perform vehicle maintenance services, and help keep the shop and its inventory in good order.

Requirements

• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• May need to work in hot or cold weather conditions.
• Must remain alert and aware of surroundings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate with the public.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must gain a strong knowledge of the company’s oils and services.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and grease chassis fittings.
• Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
• Inspect and top off vehicle fluids.
• Assist customers in selecting oil types and other services.
• Provide excellent verbal and written customer service.
• Process payments for services performed.
• Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.
• Restock and maintain floor inventory levels.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathroom.
