About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a full-time Lube Technician in Wilmington, North Carolina. The role combines customer service with light automotive maintenance. The employer provides training in services such as oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, and filling tires. Employees serve customers in Take 5’s stay-in-your-car oil change environment and are expected to learn the company’s oils and services. The position is paid $13.00–$18.00 per hour, with base pay plus commission noted in the posting. Work is in person, with an eight-hour shift and weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to communicate with the public.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow, three-foot-deep pit to work safely under cars.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
- Ability to work in hot or cold weather conditions.
- Remain alert and aware of surroundings.
- Gain a strong knowledge of the company’s oils and services; training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and grease chassis fittings.
- Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
- Inspect and top off fluids.
- Assist customers in selecting oil types and other services.
- Deliver excellent verbal and written customer service.
- Process payment for services performed.
- Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.
- Restock and maintain floor inventory levels.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathroom.
