About The Position

The Lube Technician performs basic automotive maintenance services in a fast-paced, customer-focused shop. The role supports daily shop operations and helps ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. The position may involve studying and training during onboarding to develop a strong understanding of oils, services, products, and procedures. Responsibilities may evolve according to business and operational needs.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and retain detailed knowledge of oils, services, products, and procedures.
• Ability to maneuver safely in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit used to position oneself under cars.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform physical tasks for extended periods, including holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in varying hot and cold weather conditions.
• Awareness of surroundings and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil, replace oil filters, and grease chassis fittings.
• Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
• Inspect vehicle fluids and top them off as needed.
• Help customers select oil types and additional services.
• Provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing.
• Process payments for services performed.
• Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.
• Restock and maintain shop-floor inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathrooms.
• Perform other assigned duties.
