About The Position

The Lube Technician provides oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance services while delivering excellent customer service. Take 5 provides training on oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and other light maintenance. The role involves assisting customers with service and oil selections, processing payments, and maintaining shop inventory and cleanliness. Employees are expected to learn the company’s oils and services and work in an in-person shop environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate with the public.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Must walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• May need to work in hot or cold weather conditions.
• Must remain alert and aware of surroundings.
• Must gain a strong knowledge of the company’s oils and services; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and grease chassis fittings.
• Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
• Inspect and top off vehicle fluids.
• Assist customers in selecting oil types and other services.
• Deliver excellent customer service verbally and in writing.
• Process payment for services performed.
• Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathroom.
