Lube Technician - FT
About The Position
The Lube Technician provides oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance services while delivering excellent customer service. Take 5 Oil Change offers a stay-in-your-car oil change experience and will train employees to perform services such as changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, and filling tires with air. The role is based at the Tucson River location in Tucson, Arizona, and is full-time, in person, with a day shift. The listed salary range is $15.50–$20.50 base plus commission per month; the posting also lists hourly pay of $14.85–$19.85. Employees are expected to develop a strong knowledge of the company’s oils and services. The work involves maneuvering in and out of a shallow service pit and performing physical activities for extended periods, sometimes in hot or cold weather. Reliable transportation and the ability to communicate with the public are required.
Requirements
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to work safely beneath cars.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Must be able to work in hot or cold weather conditions.
- Must remain alert and aware of surroundings.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate with the public.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must gain a strong knowledge of the company’s oils and services.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and grease chassis fittings.
- Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
- Inspect and top off vehicle fluids.
- Assist customers in selecting oil types and other services.
- Provide excellent verbal and written customer service.
- Process payment for services performed.
- Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.
- Restock and maintain floor inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathroom.
