About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a customer-focused Lube Technician. The company trains employees to change oil, replace wiper blades and air filters, fill tires, and perform other light maintenance services. The role offers a career path from Pit Tech to President, and the company reports that over 90% of Shop Managers started as Lube Technicians. The work is in person and includes an eight-hour shift, with weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Gain a strong knowledge of the company's oils and services.
- Be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, three-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Be able to work in hot or cold weather conditions.
- Remain alert and aware of surroundings.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to communicate with the public.
- Have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and grease chassis fittings.
- Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
- Inspect and top off fluids.
- Assist customers in selecting oil types and other services.
- Provide excellent verbal and written customer service.
- Process payment for services performed.
- Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.
- Restock and maintain floor inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathroom.
