About The Position
Poway Honda is hiring a Lube Technician to perform automotive lubrication services and inspect customer vehicles. The technician works in coordination with the Production Foreman, completing assigned service orders efficiently and thoroughly while keeping customer vehicles clean and equipment in proper working order. The position pays $20.00 per hour and is full-time, with availability required Monday through Saturday and Sundays off.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug testing.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of automotive service technician experience or tire/oil change experience.
- ASE certification and/or trade school certification.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Honda/Acura or multi-brand experience.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and willingness to mentor teammates.
- Respect for teammates and a positive outlook.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive lubrication services, including oil changes and topping off fluids.
- Inspect customer vehicles, including the battery, lights, and tires, and refer needed repairs or preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
- Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
- Receive repair orders from the Service Salesman or Production Foreman and move the vehicle to the service lift.
- Lubricate the vehicle while looking for other items that may need repair.
- Keep customer vehicles clean.
- Ensure equipment, especially lifts, is in proper working order.
- Use materials and supplies in adequate, but not excessive, amounts.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
