About The Position

The Lube Technician lubricates vehicles quickly and thoroughly, coordinating responsibilities with the Production Foreman. The role includes performing lubrication services, checking vehicles for other maintenance or repair needs, keeping customer vehicles clean, and maintaining equipment and a safe work environment.

This is a full-time position at Poway Honda, paying $20.00 per hour. The schedule requires availability Monday through Saturday, with Sundays off. The dealership offers training, opportunities for internal advancement, competitive benefits, and a team-based work environment.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug test, and have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of Automotive Service Technician experience or tire/oil change experience.
• ASE certification and/or trade school certification.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Honda/Acura or multi-brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and willingness to mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and a positive outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive lubrication services, including oil changes and topping off fluids.
• Check customer vehicles, including batteries, lights, and tires, and refer needed repairs or preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair orders from the Service Salesman or Production Foreman and proceed to the service lift.
• Lubricate the entire vehicle while looking for other items that may need repair.
• Keep customer vehicles clean.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order, especially lifts.
• Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
