This position requires the ability to be able to stand and walk for more then 2/3 of the time, the ability to talk and hear for up to 2/3 of the time, the ability to use hands, handle or feel, climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands and arms, taste or smell for up to 1/3 of the time.
This position requires the ability to be able to lift up to 25 pounds more then 2/3 of the time
This position requires regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
This position requires PPE to be worn based on the task being performed.
This position requires the ability to work near moving mechanical parts for more then 2/3 of the time.
This position requires the ability to work in loud noise level areas (examples: metal can manufacturing, department, large earth-moving equipment).
This position requires the ability to work in high, precarious places and around fumes or airborne particles for up to 1/3 of the time.
This position requires the following vision abilities: Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
This position requires frequent exposure to plant environment including extreme temperatures and high noise levels.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or fork truck.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
• Shovels loose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, plastics, or chemicals, into machine hoppers or into vehicles and containers such as wheelbarrows, scrap truck, or barrels.
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Slab and grind plastic as needed.
• Give Winder Operators of the shift required breaks.
• Assist on start-ups, changeovers, and web breaks as needed.
• Empty all plant tipper and garbage cans regularly.
• Ensure all batteries are being charged when not in use and change batteries for walkies as needed.
• Keep the slabbers/ stocked with scrap rolls.
• Make and distribute silicone to all lines required.
